Welcome to SSPM

الجمعية السعودية لطب الألم

It is my immense pleasure to welcome all of you, as a member in the Saudi Society of Pain Medicine. The
main vision for the SSPM since its beginning in June 2007, is to alleviate pain, improve the knowledge
about pain, not only among doctors, but among all practicing medical staffs, medical students and
public, and to conduct research in various aspect of pain. Despite our limited resources, we are trying
our best to deliver such information to all interested persons. We have conducted many national and
international conferences to spread the words about pain management and improve the practice of
many doctors; we have been involved in the development of postgraduate program to educate Saudi
Anesthesia doctors and prepare them to become pain specialists possessing the Saudi Fellowship in pain
medicine; and we joined our colleagues in other Arab Countries to establish the Pan Arab Pain
Management Society to improve pain management in the whole Arabic world. I promise all of you that
we will continue our effort to ensure that pain is properly managed not only in Saudi Arabia, but
throughout the entire world.
